Description
The way to select the appropriate power of a direct-action germicidal lamp depends on many factors, including the shape and area of the room (mainly its height). Additionally, the degree to which walls and objects in the room reflect light should also be considered. Important parameters include humidity, the level of air dustiness, and microorganism resistance. As you can easily notice, it is difficult to definitively determine how many direct-action germicidal lamps from the NBV series should be placed in a given room. Generally, it can be assumed that sufficient microbiological cleanliness can be achieved by installing in a room with a height of 2.5 to 3m: a 15W lamp for an area up to 8m2, a 2x15W lamp for an area up to 12m2, a 30W lamp for an area up to 15m2, and a 2x30W lamp for an area up to 22m2. The duration for which the direct-action germicidal lamp should operate depends on the type of room and its purpose. For example, in patient rooms, treatment rooms, or operating rooms, lamps are turned on for 2 to 8 hours. In contrast, for disinfecting a room (for example, during breaks between procedures), this type of equipment is activated for about 15-20 minutes.
